These state where buildings can be constructed, What type is allowable plus varies criteria in relation to appearance, parking, infrastructure, and other local provisions , including CIL [Community infrastructure levies.]
There is an extensive circa 5 year process to write a new plan and so the process starts early, it often takes a while to formally adopt them.
Stoke and Newcastle under Lyme were producing a Joint Local Plan, but appear to have separated their processes in late 2022
